Dear IFS community. I am going to write from a personal point of view. IFS and the inclusiveness of the community has been crucial to my development as a human, healing from complex PTSD. I found a way with the training, to contribute to the healing of not just myself, but my clients. My own healing and inner understanding of the model was just as important as the training itself. I take my commitment to clients very seriously. I have been continuously studying, having supervision, and I am also in therapy, connecting my parts to my Self. I am trauma informed because I understand trauma, not just from text books, and courses but from the inside. I am committed to learn best practice. IFS and Self energy is best practice. To cut out people who are not therapists makes little sense. It would be a huge loss to our community. It actually goes against IFS principles of inclusiveness.
